The Minister of Water Resources and Sanitation, Prof. Joseph Terlumun Utsev, on Tuesday carried out an assessment tour of Panar Limited, the Manufacturer of HDPE pipes and segmented fittings and PPR pipes in the country.
Speaking shortly after the tour of the company, Utsev acknowledged with delight the quality of pipes being produced at the factory which he noted will stand the test of time when put to use, especially for water reticulation He also warned that the Federal Government will not hesitate to sanction any company that compromised standard to the detriment of consumers .
The Minister thanked the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the company for investing his resources in the country, saying it will create job opportunities for the teaming population and add value to the economy of the country.
Profesor Utsev, who maintained that the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will continue to encourage and provide enabling environment for local manufacturers and private sector to thrive, also called on well to do Nigerians to invest in the water and sanitation sector to enable the country achieve the SDG6 target of ensuring access to sustainable water and sanitation for all by the year 2030.
Earlier, while conducting the Minister round the factory, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Company, Mr Shiv Daryani, explained that the raw materials being used for the production of the pipes were being sourced locally in the country, while the pipes manufactured were of high quality that can withstand any pressure and stand the test of time.
According to him, the pipes can be used for water reticulation and industrial projects. He also assured the Minister that the company will never compromise the standard it has been known for.
