The Nigerian minister of state for water resources and sanitation, Hon. Bello Muhammad Goronyo, Esq., at the weekend demonstrated his unwavering commitment to the well-being of the people of Sokoto State by paying a heartfelt condolence visit to the victims of the recent bandit attacks in several communities in the State.
The affected areas by the bandit attacks include Sabon Garin Dole, Boyekai, Giyawa, all in the minister’s native Local Government Area of Goronyo.
Speaking during the visit, the minister noted that the tragic attacks carried out by the bandits have left these communities in mourning, with numerous lives lost and many others suffering from injuries.
He also expressed his deepest sympathies and condolences to the families of the victims, sharing in what he called “their grief during this difficult time.”
Goronyo extended his heartfelt prayers for the repose of the souls of those who tragically lost their lives. He further offered solace and support to the affected communities in order to alleviate the pain and hardship they are enduring.
In a generous gesture of solidarity, the minister also made a significant cash donation to the affected communities to assist in cushioning the impact of the attack and to support the affected families as they begin the process of recovery and healing.
He charged all stakeholders and the community at large to join hands in the efforts to restore peace, security, and stability to the affected areas.
