The Executive Secretary, Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), Rev Dr Yakubu Pam, on Monday said he was comforted as he continued to receive more visitors on condolence visits to his Rayfield Family house in Jos, the Plateau State capital.

The ES stated this when he received the leadership of the Plateau State Chapter of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), the Jos Zonal Network Centre of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and the new Chaplain of the Plateau State Government House Chapel.

Speaking separately, the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, Plateau State chapter led by its President, Rev Dr Stephen Dangana, said the loss of Ngo Zimi was received with shock and has created a vacuum in the family that only God can fill said, Ngo, impacted positively the lives of many people noting her earthly race and was now enjoying a well deserved rest and reward in the presence of God praying that God should grant peace of mind to the family.

Earlier, while speaking on behalf of the entire management of Jos Zonal Network Centre of the Nigerian Television Authority, NTA, led by its Zonal Director, Mr Peter Ochigbo, said they were here to identify with the ES over his loss being a part of the NTA family.

He said the kind of relationship existing between the ES and NTA can not go unnoticed which is why they have come to console, comfort and pray with the family

On his part, Chaplain of the Government House Chapel, Rev Father Godfrey Gopep, said “they have come on behalf of the leadership and membership of the chapel to commiserate with him on the death of his mother noting the journey to eternal rest of mama should be seen as a glorious exit and the testimony about mama was encouraging because she trained them to be what they are today.

He said it was time for mama to go home and rest haven witnessed him become an asset to the nation, and that life does not end on earth, as we live it even after death.

According to him, “the end of life today is the beginning of life in heaven.”

Responding to their separate visits, Pam praised the leadership qualities of the PFN President for moving the fellowship in the right direction.

He thanked the leadership of the PFN under Rev Dangana for always standing by him in all situations, while also recalling his appointment as the ES and the reception organized by the leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), where they all showed up.

He said it was through the life of his mother that he was encouraged to stand firm in the Lord as she continued to pray for him.

He said Ngo has seen bitterness in her life while she lived, especially at the formation stages of their family.

Pam also noted that God has favoured her through her prayer life and carrying some petty businesses to sustain the family during their dark days.

“She played a good role in promoting the family life through petty trading.

” She was always found in the church or the farm and always trusting God for miracles.

“Mama always pray whenever any of the family members fall sick.

“God gave mama the grace to see the family become what it is today before she gave up the ghost”.

Responding to the Zonal Director of NTA Jos Network Centre, the ES said he has enjoyed all programmes run on NTA especially NTA 24 and Jos local station describing the richness in the contents of the station as excellent capturing the state in good light.

He praised the professionalism in the staff and the maintaining of close relationships with the people outside of the network centre family.

Responding to the visit by the new Government House Chaplain, the ES Rev Pam congratulated them on his recent appointment saying he is grateful to God for his ascendancy to the chaplaincy.

He commended the chapel leadership for living to their billing praising the deputy chaplain and the secretary for holding forth after the appointment of Rev Father Ajang as Bishop of Lafiya.

He said the new chaplain knows about the state of Plateau saying the death of his mother was a sad and joyous commentary because she taught him what has helped build him today become what he is today.
