The Danbayo Foundation has extended its education support initiative to schools in Billiri East and Billiri West Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) of Gombe State through the distribution of learning materials to pupils, students and teachers.
The initiative, led by the owner of the foundation, Amb. Yusuf Musa Danbayo, is designed to strengthen teaching and learning, improve educational outcomes and complement government efforts to provide quality education across the state.
Among the beneficiaries was Tal Central Primary School, where the foundation distributed essential educational materials to support classroom activities and reduce the difficulties faced by pupils and teachers in accessing basic school supplies.
The materials included 500 exercise books, rulers, biros, pencils, sharpeners and erasers each, alongside class registers, lesson plan books, markers and dusters for teachers.
The foundation noted that access to basic learning materials remained essential to creating an environment where pupils could learn effectively and teachers could perform their duties more efficiently.
It added that the initiative was particularly important in supporting children from families who might find it difficult to provide all the materials required for their education.
As part of the visit, Danbayo, who holds the traditional title of Dallatun Doma Gombe, paid a courtesy visit to the Mai Tangale, His Royal Highness Malam Danladi Sunusi Maiyamba, to seek his blessings and prayers for the success of the foundation’s programmes.
The visit also underscored the role of traditional institutions in advancing education, promoting peaceful coexistence and fostering unity and sustainable development in communities.
The foundation reaffirmed its determination to continue supporting underserved communities, emphasising that every child deserves access to educational opportunities that will enable them to develop their abilities, regardless of their family background.
It also commended traditional rulers, school authorities, teachers, parents and community leaders for their support and cooperation, pledging to sustain interventions aimed at empowering children and advancing education throughout Gombe State.
Operating under the motto, “Together We Bring Hope,” the Danbayo Foundation said its mission focuses on empowering minds, protecting lives, serving humanity and transforming communities.
