Nigeria is the top sending country in Sub-Saharan Africa and accounts for nearly one-third of all students from the region who study in colleges and universities across the United States of America.
The Africanscholar understands that several reasons are responsible for this huge number of students being accepted from just one country into the United States to seek academic knowledge.
According to the US Mission in Nigeria, “Nigerian students bring diversity, energy, and cultural enrichment to U.S. college campuses.”
As a result of this, “Nigerian students admitted for Fall 2021 using #EducationUSA services received $28 million in scholarships, financial aid, and assistantships.”
