The executive secretary of Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), Rev. Dr. Yakubu Pam, has been honoured with two major awards by the Arewa Media Publications Event Company, Kaduna, who paid him a courtesy visit in his office at the NCPC corporate headquarters in Abuja.

The company conferred Rev. Pam with the award of Excellence as Public Service Person of the Decade and Top Best Run Government Organisation of the Decade in Professionalism, Commitment to Duty, Efficiency and Service Delivery.

In his remarks , the NCPC boss thanked the Arewa Media Publications Event Company for conferring these awards on him. He said he was elated “as every award is a big booster, this comes as a way of national unity, a way of building relationships.”

The Apostle of Peace intimated the media team on the act and activities of NCPC, saying that NCPC regulates pilgrimage to Israel, Rome, Greece and Jordan. He further hinted of his visit to the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria for the ongoing Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria where he appreciated the Catholic Church for preserving the Christian Holy Sites in the world.

Pam called on other chief executives to sit up to do things the public would appreciate and further explained that “the work of peace was part of the mandate I received from President Muhammadu Buhari and I will not relent to build and do more on what I have started.”

The leader of the delegation, Prince Joshua Adeleke, who is the Publisher/Editor in Chief of the media firm, while presenting the awards, described the Pam’s commitment to duty as unprecedented and noble.

He lauded the executive secretary for what he described as hardworking, innovative and dynamic service to the nation.
The Editor in Chief further praised the contributions of Rev. Pam towards the growth of mankind, saying “you have been a good ambassador intervening through the arms of NCPC bringing peace and dialogue to Southern Kaduna and holding a peace summit in Lagos immediately after the End-Sars protest.”

Adeleke thanked the clergyman for driving peace while carrying out the activities of pilgrimage as he said, “pilgrimage has been unprecedented and exceptional, as your tremendous efforts were seen during the last pilgrimage to Jordan despite the COVID-19 travel restrictions.”
