The vice chancellor of the University of Mkar, Prof. Zacharys Anger Gundu, has appointed Dr. Kohol Shadrach Iornem, who is the president of Mzough U Tiv UK (MUTUK), as a visiting lecturer and ambassador of the university.
He is the son of former Benue senator and pioneer national publicity secretary of the defunct Social Democratic Party (SDP), Prof. David Iornem.
His appointment was made public during a courtesy visit to the university, according to a document in connection with the event, which was seen by The Africanscholar.
“Prof. Zacharys Gundu appointed Kohol Shadrach Iornem as an ambassador of the university to the Nigerian community in the Diaspora,” the document read in part.
Some of the duties that come with the appointment include “to promote the university and assist it in mobilizing books, journals, computers and ideas that will help move the university forward.”
The vice chancellor also appointed Dr. Iornem as visiting lecturer to teach in the university’s programme of master’s in business administration (MBA).
