The Executive Secretary, Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Commission (NCPC), Rev. Dr. Yakubu Pam, has bagged the Professional Fellowship and Doctorate award of the Institute of Professional Economists and Policy Management, IPEPM.
The investiture ceremony was performed at the Corporate Headquarters of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission, Abuja on 14th December, 2021 by the National Coordinator/ Secretary of the Board of the Institute, Dr. Yakubu Musa, on behalf of the National President, Dr. Irene Egbhaievhiemhe.
In his acceptance speech, the NCPC boss thanked God for making the investiture possible, he also appreciated the Institute for finding him worthy and deserving of the award.
In the words of the NCPC boss,” I accept this award on behalf of the entire NCPC, I will make use of it to uplift the Commission”.
He added,” I will make the Institute to become part and parcel of me and make the body proud”.
The newly inducted member of IPEM explained that Nigeria was passing through trying times in the area of economy, security and that the unity of the country is being threatened.
He affirmed that the Institute has a big role to play in addressing some of the challenges facing the country.
According to him, this is the time we need this kind of Institute”.
Rev Pam further lamented that many Nigerians were fast losing hope in the country, but also charged the Institute of Professional Economists and Policy Management to serve as a veritable platform to redirect the youths positively because the youths had always looked up only to leaders rather than depending on what they could do for themselves.
Earlier in her speech, the National President of IPEPM, Dr. Irene Egbhaievhiemhe, welcomed the NCPC boss into the fold of the Institute, which she described as a “noble Institute that is so vital in the growth and development of our dear nation”.
The Institute, according to her,”is set to inculcate skills in members using less resources to achieve greater results vis- a – vis the embodiment of effective policy management”.
The National President notified the NCPC boss that the Institute had cutting edge training packages that are capable of adding value and providing solutions to organisational needs.
The highlight of the event was the decoration of the NCPC boss with the full professional gown of the Institute A plaque and certificate were also presented to him.
The NCPC boss was then administered with an oath of allegiance by the representative of the Institute’s Legal Adviser.
The investiture ceremony was witnessed by the NCPC Director of Finance and Accounts, Mr. Joseph Oche; the Director of Administration, Mr Barnabas Ali; the Director, Planning, Research and Programme Development, Barr. Sonny Ebiyaibo; and the Special Assistant on Media to the Executive Secretary, Hon. Ayuba Pam.
